“Music in the Baroque” by Wendy Heller

Completed on 30th of August 2017

Review:

An overview of baroque music with focus on the music styles without too much details about the composers of that era. Most of them are only briefly mentioned, with J.S. Bach covered in a single chapter. Instead of those shortcomings it did led me to further study and appreciation of music composed by Domenico Scarlatti, Arcangelo Corelli, Georg Philipp Telemann, Heinrich von Biber, Johann Hasse, Antonio Caldara and Johann Joseph Fux.
